NEW PROJECT IN JORDAN
In cooperation with the NGO “Methods for Irrigation and Agriculture” (MIRRA) we have just started a new project in Jordan which aims to encourage people to integrate the concept of “water-sensitive school” in public schools. We focus on institutional decision-makers, to improve the living and learning conditions of students, teachers and Syrian refugees.
The implementation of the concept of the “water-sensitive school” reduces or even completely eliminates water scarcity through multiple use of the same drop of water. The project mainly consists of two activities:
The first activity includes targeted training measures for teachers and other members of the Jordanian education sector at several, in previous MIRRA projects, pilot systems in Jordan.
The second activity is the creation of attractive information material and the development of a corresponding knowledge platform to raise awareness of the concept for a broader audience be anchored in a sustainable way.
